Dancing on the Devil

Dance on the devil each time you seek
God's face when you could be down.
Dance on the devil every time you smile
And turn your frown upside down.

Dance on the devil every time you help
Your fellow man in time of need.
Dance on the devil when at your best
And teach others to succeed.

If you give praise in the midst of trials
You're stepping on the devil's toes.
He seeks to dish out nothing but pain
No matter where he goes.

Your joy in the midst of feeling bad
Smacks the devil right in his face.
He can't stand to see you praising God
But here he has no case.

Dance on the devil and burn the tapes
Of the “old man's” ways back then.
The NEW MAN reigns - don't look back
And renew that life of sin.

Praise Your Way Through

What do you do with you think all is lost
And you don’t know what to do?
Now is the time to call His name
It's time to praise your way through.

Looking for answers unknown to man
You don’t even have a clue.
A dead end’s staring you right in the face
It’s time to praise your way through..

There’s power in praise - lift your voice
And magnify His name.
You can feel His love surrounding you
As it takes away all your pain.

I praise You, Lord, for all you’ve done
You finally made me see.
Being in a constant state of praise
Is where my spirit should be.

Don’t let the devil get you down
And leave you feeling blue.
That’s the time you lift your voice
It's time to praise your way through.

Count Your Blessings

There’s a way to keep your focus on God

With distractions all around.

Count your blessings in all He’s done

To keep your spirit sound.

In all the struggles from day to day

You feel you’re losing ground.

Think about the times the Lord came through

With no one else around.

You’d think it’s hard to forget His works

In all He’s done for you.

But the devil’s one and only job

Is to attack and see that you do.

He’ll attack your life and family wealth

And all that’s precious to you.

But when you look at all God’s done

You’ll see He always came through.

Count your blessings one by one

They’ll give you strength to see.

That God has never let you down

His goal is to set you free.

Walking in the Dark

Walking in the dark in the middle of mess

No kind of light in sight.

Keep asking myself, “Where is God?”

Am I not doing something right?

It seems lately at every turn

Everything has gone so wrong.

When will this suffering pass from us

I’m asking You, Lord, “How long?”

I wish that I could see ahead

The fate God has for me.

But since I can’t I’ll remember that

I have the victory.

For then the devil does try his hand

Saying, “Your God isn’t here.”

But Lord, Your word speaks loud and clear

You created no spirit of fear.

So it doesn’t really matter how dark it gets

Just keep God in your sight.

No matter how dark your day may seem

Everything’s going to be alright.

Revelations

Watching the news each and every day

Kids killing kids having nothing to say.

Drugs have reached an all time high

Have you ever stopped to think

And wonder why?

All the talk without a plan

Racking your brain trying to understand.

Trying to find an easy why out

Trying to dodge the topic I’m talking about.

What we’re dealing with here is the sign of the times

The evil is real and will blow your mind.

But the blood of Jesus is close at hand

Waiting to give you a helping hand.

He’ll give you joy and peace of mind

When you think all others left you behind.

I’m not trying to boast, not trying to shout

Trying tell you what Jesus is all about.

Revelations!

Corruption works very hard today

Trying to get many to go astray

Shacking with your baby seems quite alright

But it lets the devil in late at night.

Can’t keep trying to justify sin

You find yourself doing it all over again.

Sin keeps trying to take your soul

Trying to keep you from your holy mold.

(continued)

(80)

So when you think about yourself

How do you live?

How do you love?

How do you give?

Do you think about what other souls to win

Or spend your time dragging them down in sin.

You hear a lot of talk about the final days

You see a lot of changes in many ways.

Our fate is set there’s not much time

God’s given us warnings along the line.

Revelations!

Let me tell you right now the only way

Is to come to Jesus before that day.

And we really don’t know when it is foretold

You may be young or you may be old.

But when He comes back you want peace of mind

That you won’t be one of those left behind.

Cause child of God we gonna’ leave this place

Be up in heaven giving praise.

So live your life by the Word

Share with others who haven’t heard.

That Jesus is real God’s number One

Let Him in your life cause He’s the One.

He’s come back to judge you and me

You better look to Jesus if you want to be free.

Things ‘bout to get busy in the spiritual realm

And you want to have Jesus at the helm.

Revelation!

Nobody Does It Like Jesus

(Music - Julian Reeves, III / Lyrics- Fitz Houston)

I’ve been living my life thinking I’m real tough

Seeking love and respect, but never getting enough.

So I got into drugs, had my game plan down

Got drunk like a skunk and went further on own.

I never thought that I could that I should if I could

Live like a man with a head hard as wood.

The Lord came down put a song in my heart

Gave me hope, a dream to make a brand new start.

Nobody does it like Jesus.

Nobody does it like my Jesus, He’s the only way.

Nobody does it like Jesus.

Nobody does it like my Lord.

I spent most of my time hanging with my boys

Checking out the babes looking cute as toys.

Thinkin’ I was grown, thinkin’ I was free

Little did I know they were laughing at me.

Sitting back, talking smack

Living in my dream world, there’s nothing I lack.

Lord came down and said, “Use your head!”

Keep up what you doing pretty soon you’ll be dead.

Nobody does it like Jesus.

Nobody does it like my Jesus, He’s the only way.

Nobody does it like Jesus.

Nobody does it like my Lord.

I look back at my past, look back at my life

I think about the pain, the hurt and the strife.

I think about the days that I never was free

Never listened to the voice deep inside of me.

Love and trust is a must

Give it to the Lord, people, in God we trust.

I don’t even want to think about where I’d be

If Jesus Christ didn’t set me free.

Nobody does it like Jesus.

Nobody does it like my Jesus, He’s the only way.

Nobody does it like Jesus.

Nobody does it like my Lord.

Standing in the Midst of Trouble

My head is swirling like a spinning top

No peace I find within.

I think about all I can’t control

My head starts to spin again.

You’ve told me, Lord, to call Your name

And You will answer me.

Well Lord, I’m calling with all my heart

Only You can set me free.

“Look not at the things that are seen”

For me is the hardest thing to do.

I try to hold on to the things unseen

Cause I put my trust in You.

Lord come please and ease my mind

To help me face my fears.

Fears caused by doubt and a restless mind

Ending so many times in tears.

They’re tears of hope and the love I feel

As I cling to my faith in You.

For I remember my darkest hours

And the times that You’ve come through.

Never Put Off ‘til Tomorrow

Never put off ‘till tomorrow

What you can get done today.

For tomorrow is never promised

And you don’t know the day.

Sometimes we’re just too busy

And never take time to care.

Won’t give a smile to your fellow man

Won’t take the time to share.

Don’t fill your life with so much stuff

There’s no time left for you.

The time you lose you can’t get back

No matter what you do.

Enjoy your life and share with others

You’ll feel your life has worth.

For what is it to not have done

A thing in life since birth.

So cherish each day like its your last

Tomorrow is not guaranteed.

For God is with your every step

And knows just what you need.

Dangerous Darts

Sometimes we speak without a thought

And care not what we say.

But in the end the words we speak

Is where we are today.

Words have power to motivate

Or they can cause much hate.

It’s up to us to control our tongue

Before it is too late.

Sometimes words we speak can cause

Much damage beyond repair.

We let them fly without a thought

Like darts shoot through the air.

Take the time to choose your words with care

They shape everything you do.

All the way down to the smallest things

Your life’s been shaped by you.

With words you’ll reach the highest peak

With God there are no bounds.

Don’t let the words you speak each day

Eventually bring you down.

Who Is This Jesus?

Who is this Jesus who walked the earth

Who had the power to heal?

He gave His life for you and me

Yet some think He’s not real.

The miracles He performed in front of man

Were beyond all comprehension.

Yet in the midst of all their doubt

He did get their attention.

Though many did doubt up to the day

They nailed Him to the cross.

In shock they were when three days passed

And thought the body lost.

The news spread fast the body was gone

For some already knew.

He promised in three He’d rise again

But believe did only a few.

There is no price we can compare

Jesus, He paved the way.

That we might learn to live like Him

And seek Him every day.

There Is No God?

How can you say there is no God

When you look at the heavens above.

You’d rather call God by another name

Which doesn’t include His love.

How can you say there is no God

And live life on your own.

To go through life without a guide

And wonder what’s being shown.

Your heart it works without your hand

Your lungs breathe on and on.

Your body functions every day

As life goes on and on.

Miracles happen all around

In a world with little hope.

A world without God, his mercy and grace

How can you expect to cope?

How can you say there is no God

When your life comes to an end?

When comes the judgment for your life

How then will you defend?

All Things Have Become New

Behold old things have passed away

Behold all things are new.

That is the key to living a life

For God will see you through.

The new man must survive in a world

That the old man learned to reign.

The new man must take on new ways

Or the old will live again.

Old tapes must be completely tossed

Not tucked safely away.

Or they’ll come back with a stronger force

And again lead you astray.

How can you think you’re in control

If you don’t put it in God’s hands.

You can’t possibly win this by yourself

Call His name!  He understands.

You can live a new life without past strands

Trying to pull you back to sin.

But the key is holding to God’s own Word

Where He’ll strengthen you from within.

Will You Choose God?

If it came down to your life or death

When asked what would you say?

If asked to you believe in God

Would you brag or shy away?

When people try to admire you

For all the Word in you.

Do you step up and minister to them?

It’s the least that you can do.

When given the chance, lead the way

For those who don’t know God.

Share with them how good God’s been

Or let them think you’re odd.

You should never ever dull God’s light

As it tries to shine through you.

You’ll never know when your shining light

Did indeed help someone through.

So don’t be ashamed, it’s time to brag

About God’s goodness in your life.

In the end your light that shone so bright

May have helped another conquer strife.

Your Day Will Come

Sitting around wondering why

I seem to be standing still.

All my friends are doing well

It leaves me feeling ill.

Why can’t I see success in life

Have I done something wrong?

The Word does say your day will come

But it’s taking oh so long.

The truth is that we don’t know when

The where or even how.

Anxiety attacks, depression sets in

Because we want to have it now.

God will show us all we’ll have

And what we’ll do one day.

The only thing He doesn’t share

Is what’s along the way.

We therefore must hold on to the truth

That God will set us free.

Regardless of how it looks right now

You’ll be who you’re to be.

You and Me Lord

There comes a time in within your life

When you feel so all alone.

Your friends they are no where to be found

And your closest friends are gone.

Your loved ones they can offer help

But the need is deep inside.

That means your spirit is calling out

From where it does reside.

If that’s the case there’s only One

Who knows just how you feel.

Only He can touch you to the core

And know just what to heal.

Don’t try to do it all alone

He’s waiting for your call.

He’s looking to see if you will pray

Or try to do it all.

It’s You and me Lord, I see that now

It took a while to learn.

It’s better to live with you on high

Than to live in sin and burn.

Death You Have No Sting

Some think about it way too much

Sometimes to the very last breath.

It bogs the mind, both young and old

What happens to us after death.

The fear grips some ‘til they get sick

The answer they cannot find.

The turmoil and unrest they feel

Starts in their very own mind.

Without the Word you stay in fear

You’re constantly seeking peace.

What happens when your breath is gone

Will all your unrest cease?

“To be absent in the body is to be with the Lord”

That’s the promise if you live right.

Don’t wait to late to change your ways

You may not live through the night.

Death, bring it on, you have no sting

It just means my time has come.

Time to be back with my Lord

Which won’t be witnessed by some.

Lord, You Are My Healer

Lord, You are my Healer

You’re my comfort in time of need.

Sometimes my body is racked with pain

Then on You, Lord I feed.

Your Word it gives me peace of mind

Your presence conquers fear.

There’s nothing in this world I know

That scares me when You’re near.

Lord, You are my Healer

Your touch can heal right now.

It’s not for me to spend my time

Trying to wonder how.

I know the key is in my faith

In you I put my trust.

To let your healing do its thing

Believing is a MUST.

Lord, You are my Healer

Who always understands.

I have no problem taking my life

And putting it in Your hands.

 Can't Take it With You

People are drawn to many things
All fed by the spirit of greed.
But money and riches I'm sorry to say
Is the least thing they will need.

For when it's time to give up the ghost
And leave God's wonderful earth.
Tis not your possessions or all you own
That determines what you're worth.

For God He judges not your wealth
Your silver or your gold.
What matters to Him is all your deeds
Have you done what you've been told.

Has He planted a seed in you to do
An assignment He holds dear?
Do you hesitate or do you move with haste
Whenever you feel Him near.

So don't waste your time on worldly things
Like you have so much to do.
Regardless of just how much you have
You still can't take it with you..
